Air Jordan 6 was released for the 1990-91 season. This season and this shoe was part of a defining moment for Michael Jordan and all of the Air Jordans.
Championship at last!
Every year the Jordan had played was a great one, but this year was just a little sweeter for Mike. The Bulls won the NBA Championship defeating the LA Laker's in the Finals. Jordan again took home the NBA scoring title and his 2nd of 5 MVP awards.
Rubber tounge
What is there to say else than Hatfield created another classic. This time with a rubber tounge featuring two holes which the bearer could use to easily get the kicks on. He kept the idea with clear rubber soles and lace locks from the Air Jordan 5's but apart from that this felt like a brand new AJ design for the Air Jordan 6.
